{"id":351,"date":"2017-10-19T15:22:02","date_gmt":"2017-10-19T19:22:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/test.viciphone.com\/?page_id=351"},"modified":"2018-03-15T21:40:06","modified_gmt":"2018-03-16T01:40:06","slug":"configure-asterisk-so-it-will-work-with-viciphone","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/test.viciphone.com\/?page_id=351","title":{"rendered":"Configure Asterisk so it will work with VICIphone"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Requirements:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Asterisk 13 or later (browsers stopped supporting Asterisk 11)<\/li>\n<li>A Fully Qualified Domain Name for the server<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>VALID<\/strong> SSL certificate from a <strong>VALID<\/strong> Certificate Authority like GoDaddy or LetsEncrypt for the Fully Qualified Domain Name for the server. <strong>SELF SIGNED SSL CERTIFICATES DO NOT WORK!!!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Steps:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Edit\u00a0\/etc\/asterisk\/http.conf<\/li>\n<li>Uncomment &#8216;enabled=yes&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Uncomment and change &#8216;bindaddr=0.0.0.0&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Uncomment &#8216;bindport=8088&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Uncomment &#8216;tlsenable=yes&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Uncomment &#8216;tlsbindaddr=0.0.0.0:8089&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Uncomment and change &#8216;tlscertfile&#8217; to read: tlscertfile=\/PATH\/TO\/YOUR\/SSL\/CERT\/FILE<\/li>\n<li>Uncomment and change &#8216;tlsprivatekey&#8217; to read: tlsprivatekey=\/PATH\/TO\/YOUR\/SSL\/KEY\/FILE<\/li>\n<li>Save\u00a0\/etc\/asterisk\/http.conf<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that TCP port 8089 is open in the servers firewall.<\/li>\n<li>Edit \/etc\/asterisk\/modules.conf<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that the res_http_websocket.so module is being loaded.<\/li>\n<li>Reboot the server.<\/li>\n<li>On the Linux CLI run this command:\u00a0asterisk -rx &#8216;http show status&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Check the output from the above command to make sure it says &#8220;HTTPS Server Enabled and Bound to 0.0.0.0:8089&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>That should be it.
